Madhei White Water Rafting
We have daily trips between June and October of 10 km run on easy class 2 to 3 rapids. Ideal Fun for the family and adults offers plenty of big waves and bouncy fun. This trip is available at almost any water level. The Rapids with names like “Big Daddy” “Giant Haystacks” “Y fronts” and “Pipeline” ensure that this never gets boring and you always get wet!
Non swimmers are also welcome. Minimum age to participate is 10 years or if you are four feet in height minimum. You need to wear secure foot wear for rafting. We do not allow pregnant guests. Also no long loose clothing allowed for rafting. we need minimum number of 6 guests to run a trip.
Surla/Madhei
This is a special rafting tour of 18 km in length with 30 or more class 2 to 4 rapids. one of the best trip available in South India. Starting with the technical and fast Surla River we will encounter class 3 to 4 rapids called “Spiders Breath”, “Gates of Delirium” and “Heroes for Zeros”. We run this small, steep river all the way down into the grand finale, a one kilometer section of non stop white water, with drop after drop to the confluence with it’s big sister the Mahdei. From there we enjoy the bouncy waves for 10 km until our finish point. This trip is not a regular feature and is only run a few times a season when we have the correct water levels. It is also only open to group bookings of between 5 to 15 people. Worth getting a group together for!
MAHDEI RAFTING TRIP
10kms (From June to October). Class 2 to 3 rapids. Available at almost any water level.

- The trip starts in Valpoi at 10:00 am in the morning and 2:30 pm for an evening
- Meeting point is The Cashew House in Nagargaon, near Valpoi Town
- We will take you to the nearest river from where the rafting will start.
- We will return to the same place after 2-3 hours on the onward journey.
